Removal request

Last updated 7 Aug 2026

This page is for you if something on ClickTug concerns you personally.

You do not need a lawyer, a form number or a particular set of words. Write to removals@clicktug.com and tell us what you are asking about. A person reads that address.

What this page covers

A listing that concerns you personally. You are named, depicted, or otherwise identifiable in something on this site, or connected to it in a way you did not agree to.

A listed service used against you. If a tool listed on ClickTug was used to produce or distribute intimate imagery of you without your consent, tell us. We host none of that imagery, so we cannot remove it for you, but the listing is ours and what you tell us bears directly on whether that service stays on this site. We would rather hear it from you than find out from a news story.

You operate a listed tool and want it delisted. Say so and we will remove it. We do not require a reason and we will not argue about it.

A factual error about a business you run. Report the listing instead. That is the faster route for a wrong price or a wrong policy description.

What to include

Whatever you have. These help, and none of them is required to start:

  • The page you are writing about, ideally the full URL.
  • What is wrong with it, in your own words.
  • Whether you are the person concerned, or writing on someone’s behalf.
  • How you would like us to reach you.

If you are distressed, send the URL and one line. We will work out the rest with you.

What we do

  1. We acknowledge within 48 hours. From a person, not an autoresponder.
  2. We act on our own listings straight away where the request is about something we published. Removing a listing costs us nothing and costs you a great deal if we get it wrong, so the balance is not close.
  3. We tell you what we did. Including if we decided not to do something, and why.
  4. We do not publish your request or your name, and we do not forward your message to the vendor without asking you first.

If we need something further before we can act, we will explain exactly what and exactly why. We will not send you a checklist of documents as a way of ending the conversation.

If ClickTug is the wrong place

We will say so, quickly, and point you somewhere better rather than leaving you to work it out. Depending on where you are and what has happened, the right route may be the platform hosting the material, a national reporting line, or the police. If you tell us your country we will do our best to name the right one.

What we keep

We keep removal correspondence only as long as we need it to act on the request and to show we acted, and then we delete it. We do not add you to anything. Our privacy policy covers the rest.

Why this page is easy to find

It is linked from the footer of every page on this site, it is the first column rather than the last, it is in our sitemap, and it is deliberately not marked as adult content in our page metadata.

That last one matters more than it sounds. Marking this page adult would remove it from search results for anyone with safe search enabled, which is exactly the person most likely to be looking for it. Every other consideration on this site loses to that one.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to prove who I am to file a removal request?

Not to start. Send us the request and enough detail to identify what you are asking about. We will only ask for anything further if we genuinely cannot act without it, and we will explain why we need it. We do not require identity documents to remove a listing from our own site.

ClickTug does not host the image. Why write to you?

You may be writing to the wrong place, and if so we will say so and point you to the right one. But if a service listed on ClickTug was involved, we want to know: it affects whether that service stays listed, and we would rather hear it from you than find out later.

How long does a removal request take?

We aim to acknowledge within 48 hours and to act on a valid request about our own listings at the same time. Requests that need us to check something with a vendor take longer, and we will tell you that rather than going quiet.
